New Roland Go:Keys 3 and 5 (Zen-Core Sound Engine)
For those interested, Roland has two new keyboards. $350 USD for a keyboard with Roland's Zen-Core "ecosystem" seems very reasonable to me. The more expensive version includes 1/4 inch stereo outs and a microphone input (probably some other differences that I didn't notice).

Would be cool if they've accidentally left full editing via midi switched on.
But yup, that sound engine in a 350 quid keyboard is great, a bargain.
I'm a bit interested in the GO:KEYS 5 to travel with. It has local on/off, class compliant USB-C audio/midi and an optional music rest to sit an iPad on... If it has the same ability as the previous GO:KEYS to receive cc for things like cutoff/resonance and ADSR it might work well...
Wow, mote than 2 line display on Roland hardware. But to be full color, of course it's a bit too much to ask
It looks like the same display as the RD-88.
Once I got used to working with the iPad, every keyboard display seemed tiny to me.
I'm seriously looking at this keyboard, it's ticking all the boxes here. I frequently do singalongs in small settings at nursing homes (it's like therapy), and a lightweight battery operated keyboard with builtin speakers like this is something I'm looking for, in addition to roland sounds and MIDI use with my ipad at home.
Anyone played one yet, and connect to your ipad using MIDI apps? How is the keybed and how do the speakers sound?
It’s Roland so you know it’s good; I love that they keep things fresh somehow.
