SEQUENCER WITH FILTER,ENVELOPES.

Is there such a thing? Or is this a daft question? I'd love a sequencer that contained envelopes and a filter - the possibilities would be endless. Maybe this isn't possible. Thought i'd check! Thanks all!

  • Hello may we take this moment to talk to you about Drambo 😊

  • Your question is very vague (despite being all-caps 😜) -- What do you want to filter, and what do you want to throw an envelope on?

Put envelopes and filters onto the notes coming in through the synth. I had bene wondering if there was such an app that did all of that at the same time. Just curious really. Or if that's even possible.

If the sequencer is not integrated with the synth, you will not be able to use it polyphonically, since that requires access to individual synth voices.

    It is possible with MPE.

  • You could use something like Snakebud (possibly other apps in that series, I’m not sure). It sends notes and CCs. Then use the CCs to modulate the things you want to modulate.

That sequencer would be a total pita** to program and being a plug-in it would have to have built-in polyphony, support multiple incoming/outgoing audio-streams, hijack the incoming note, allocate audio-stream etc. in order to keep it 'per note'.

If a synth/app is lacking in the modulation department there's always another one to try or use some nifty sequencer automation.

If one only needs a pattern to tweak filter parameters etc. that can sync to midi note-on events then there's Calum Audios Flux Pro which is pretty neat.

Audio Modern's free filterstep is a free one with a bit less options.

Drambo has been mentioned and SunVox would most likely be able to do it's fair share here too :sunglasses:

  • BLEASS MotionFX would likely do quite a bit of what the OP asked for...

Samu, it is what I am looking for and.....I think I own it already. I'll show myself out...Thanks! ps:might combine this with a sequencer

Bleass Arpeggiator has the ability to use envelopes and LFOs to alter the different parameters in the app. It’s more Arpeggiator then sequencer though….

Update. Check that, just lfo’s, a motion sequencer, and 2 x/y pads inside the Arpeggiator, no envelopes.

  • Koshiba is also a solid option in the gate sequencer department. Though i am partial to Motion fx... 😉

  • Looperator has both envelopes and filters.
