Similar forum to Audiobus, but for MacOS Audio apps?

As I am moving over to using the Mac mini for all my music and live gig work, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good forum for this, for folks doing the same.

A lot of the stuff here (whilst great) is not really geared toward MacOS.

  • On the desktop it's more about different DAW ecosystems, they have their own forums. I'm not aware of a special Mac forum, maybe there's something on Gearspace in their computer section or on KVR which is a good general desktop forum.

Thanks. I do know about GS and KVR, but they are not really "app" centric. Like AB is. But I have not been to either in quite a while, so I will definitely have a look.

  • Maybe @thesoundtestroom and @Michael can create a "MacOS Apps" section to our humble forum. :)

That would be nice, but might make it just that bit more "dense" as a forum. IE mebbe too many sub-fora perhaps?

  • Given how much larger the number of desktop users there are in the world, think the amount of iOS info would eventually get dwarfed. Imo, keeping the focus on iOS/iPadOS is beneficial.

There aren't many Mac AUv3 "apps" on the Appstore yet that also work in standalone like on iOS, it's mostly plugins distributed through online shops and most of them are cross platform AU/VST, which could be the reason why there are no Apple specific forums outside of the Logic ones.

KVR/GS are probably the closest thing besides the different audio production subreddits. On Reddit it's mostly beginner questions, gear buying advice and not people talking in-depth about app/plugin releases like here in this forum.

Not really if it were a separate section....MacOS posts in the iOS section would get auto moved. Forum bots these days can do it at the mere mention of one word in the filtering process.
