Async Sampler or FAC Drumkit?
I have to choose one due to my GF's constant but approriate nagging of my ios purchases. I know they are two totally different beasts, but to those who have either one or both, which would you suggest? I have damn near every drum machine, but i heard FAC is special. I also have Samplr, but it seems Async is was Samplr should have been by now, but wth fewer tracks. All advice and opinions would be greatfully appreciated. I'll eventually get both, but both are the same price now, but i don't know if that will change for either in the future.

I can’t compare as I don’t have FAC Drumkit. But Async is very different to Samplr. You can’t directly play things like you can with Samplr’s touch interface. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great, but Samplr it isn’t.

They are very different apps.
I was only on the beta for ASync and it’s been a little while since I used it, but if I remember correctly, ASync is made to work with loops/sections of audio. looping and manipulating longer audio files, while FAC DK is both a synth drum machine and a sampler drum machine, with the ability to blend between the two. So FAC DK is more for your one shots, drum hits, stabs, etc… shorter samples.
