I still remember that day quite clearly. Mom and Dad, my two sisters and me, gathered around the black and white Zenith console TV in the living room. One small step for man!
Somewhat similar for me, but I was at my grandparents’ house and one of my aunts called me to see what was on the TV. I looked at it for a few seconds and said “What is it?” I just had no context to put it in and had to have it explained to me.
I love that it has a sixties feel to it, kind of like incidental music in a movie that puts it in a time and place. Also has the kind of out of this world feel that people started experimenting with as the space race got underway.
It does have a 60’s feel. Kind of like the style of the ‘Munsters’ tv show theme. Munsters go to the moon!

Very 60s Sci-Fi TV show feel - Munsters go the Moon just about summed it up for me too!
I seem to remember watching the fuzzy black and white images of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on TV whilst having my breakfast before going to school.
