It's been on my list forever, and I bought it today.
It's great, and I love the ”human” feel emphasized in the promise of the app.
It's a great compliment to different drummer, where the beats seem to come from the essence of math. The syncopations and other features transcen "human", transcending human or instrumental capabilities, yet feeling amazingly organic.
And DM1 is my other new toy; believe it or not, just bought it last week.
That's the trifecta of drum apps in my opinion, with many strong contenders of similar value and quality.
Dudes, if there's anybody that doesn't know yet, this is Thee Drum machine on IOS. I totally love Funkbox, Seekbeats, Dm1, Easybeats, and these are all great drum machines, but DrumPerfect is just the King. (DrumJam is a whole nother monster drum beast, in its own category for me). I held off on DP because I had so many other drums, but since I got it, it's the only drummer I use. I mean no offense to other drum app developers, really, but DrumPerfect is IT!!!!
Good pep rally of one there
And I'm grateful because I've bought it, but not opened it up yet and you give me a sufficient nudge to take a look as I must have something to compete with the guy who's thrashing the kit outside my window at ACL tonight. Loud.
The samples alone are worth more than eight bucks.
Drum perfect is amazing!
Don't need to tell me twice. First time on sale, ever.
I am about to pick it up .... But that interface is putting me off and it might not get used much !! ..it has a prototype feeling to it !!
Are there any user videos that show it's strengths ? ... Have already seen Doug's
If you are referring to the woodgrain background, that can be changed to an even dark or light blue with just the Drumperfect logo lightly superimposed.
I got it yesterday. Watched both YouTube vids - the ZenlLizard one an the Soundtestroom one. This app is too good. I'm super impressed.

Nobody listens to the user interface...
Can someone put a link up please as I can't find it when I search in App Store
Thanks in advance

That's deep !!!... But the user interface doesn't listen to me !!
Srsly though , it's not the color scheme ... Maybe it's just plain the ux elements are and how it's laid out ... Agreed that it's just getting used to it once ... going to get it now anyway :-)

Nice to see DrumPerfect getting some love. This app needs reviews! It's been out over 7 months and only has 13 reviews in the US store, 7 in the UK store, and none in the others I looked at. Would you be kind enough to help out?
I wouldn't hesitate. It's an instrument, so can take time, but it is worth the effort. Most importantly, it's a developer who is working really hard to improve it. New kits, and not even IAP's!
Should be rated in Germany now. Love this app!
Drumperfect export to Audioshare, open in Sector = beats workflow bliss.
Disappointed that the app can't output or export general midi.
As a guitar and bass player, I want something easy, realistic sounding, and plausible in performance. For instance, the new Beat Buddy pedal lets you easily dial up a pattern and tempo, hit a fill on the fly, and switch between verse and chorus easily. I've bought a lot a iOS drum apps, and none quite hit the mark.

My drummer uses logic for sounds for his roland electronic kit. Could this be used for the same purpose? I.e. Do different sounds respond to separate midi channels and velocity?
I.e. I understand that he's probably better off with something like sample tank but somebody has mentioned great samples so thought this could do the trick even if it's main strength lies in sequencing.
@Coloobar: work on midi has started. Midi file export implemented. Next will be midi-in... In case you're interested, you can closely follow the development of the app on our Facebook page.
@telecharge: thanks for bringing this up! Reviews are important.
@All: thanks for your supportive words!
Keep at @Marinus, you're hooking us in one by one
@JohnnyGoodyear: LOL
The app is great, glad to hear about the forth coming midi-in, using drumperfect with velocity sensitive pads as was suggested above and elsewhere would be super cool.
Unfortunately, the link to the manual appears to be down:
http://www.drumperfect.nl/drumperfect_manual.pdf
The site is down. I attached the manual if you need it.
Thanks, @telecharge.
You are indeed a repository of good things Mister Charge.
Thanks! I just Telecharge'ed it!
I've updated the manual. The link to the latest manual is:
http://www.drumperfect.nl/drumperfect_manual_v104.pdf
which is a slightly updated version of the one @telecharge has posted (thanks!).
Thanks @Marinus
Total noob question... What does a purple bar indicate? I opened up a few of the included patterns and it wasn't possible to select them. Didn't see anything about purple in the manual.
