Does Midistrummer Strum Midi In Chords

Um wondering if I send chords to Midistrummer, will it strum them or can I only program the chords? I'd love to use this with Scaler 2 sending chords if possible.

Not exactly. It won't output live chord strumming as-is from midi chord input like an arp. It can listen for chords and select a guitar chord to play. There are several midi input modes, but one of them does translate incoming chords to guitar chords and play the arp with them. It doesn't always work so well with anything but three note chords when I play them manually, but should work well enough with a chord app.

Thanks, I think I'll give it a try!

  • @NoncompliantBryant Scaler2 has a guitar mode - for chord playback/strumming as well (no custom user patterns though)
