Owners of Glitchscaper, Noinputmixer, and Noises... Does Noises Give a Unique Bang for Buck?

People have been raving about Noises, and as an owner of Glitchscaper, Noinputmixer, Soundscaper, and Fieldscaper, I'm wondering if people feel like there's something really unique about Noises that you can't replicate with the other apps. There's a nice sale right now but I'm trying to save money and streamline my workflow. However, I'm love making soundscapes so if there's a lot of additional value in Noises, I'm down!

  • It's pretty nice and @sevenape started this thread to share presets. Take a look there see if you get some decision going

Is the big thing that makes it unique the ability to crossfade between 8 different samples? How do you use it vs other noise experiment apps?

I'm no expert but maybe so. I did a session in AUM where I automated changing 6-8 main presets but not the samples (should have thought of that.🙃). I thought I made a video and posted in mentioned thread but I can't find it, maybe I dreamt it. Anyway, it's pretty much used in the context you use the other apps you mentioned but if it will revolutionise your creations - I do not know.😂

Lol I'm of course looking for any app that will make my music sound like it's better than it is 😉

It is unique. It's like having 8 unsynchronized tape loops you can fade between. The special sauce is the rotary knob that determines what sample or mix of samples you can hear. It's much simpler than the apps you mentioned. But it has a permanent place in my workflow. It's great for adding a bit of noise to a track or to add semi random sounds for adding movement and interest. I like to make banks of chords in a key and then have the dial jump randomly around creating unexpected melodies

The interface is simple, the effects are limited and it just takes loops you have and makes them surprising and interesting.

Be aware though there's no way of syncing loops, they all just play in their own time.

Download a pack from the thread I made and unzip it and play the loops and imagine them all playing at the same time and being able to hear a loop or a mix of 2 loops simultaneously.

It's simple but really really nice
