Overloud THU crashes when trying to load IR *RESOLVED*
Anybody else have this problem? It used to load impulse responses, now crashes.
Comments
Is the problem with importing an IR, or just loading one already imported? Using the THU AUv3 in AUM, I just loaded one from a folder previously imported, with no problem.
Importing. In the standalone and Cubasis as an AUv3.
jAmpIR looks like a good alternative... as well as the Nembrini IR Loader.
Right. I had no trouble importing a zip of IRs in THU standalone. It rejected two for unknown reasons, but did not crash, and was able to load the imported data. Certainly there are good alternatives; Thafknar is another.
Thanks @uncledave, it's still crashing Cubasis, right when touching "IR", standalone. So I can't even test with a zip. Perhaps a reinstall of THU? Any others having problems?
It's never crashed before, this is a new development.
Just a suggestion: you cannot import IRs in the AUv3, only in THU stand-alone. It told me that when I tried importing from inside AUM. Maybe, if you haven't imported any IRs, THU AUv3 crashes when you tap the IR button, because it cannot display an empty list. That does sound like a bug, but using the app stand-alone to do the import might be a work-around.
didja try rebooting your device?
Completely sorry, I meant it's crashing the stand-alone, also within Cubasis. I reboot a lot, I'll try that again.
Upon further messing about with this, a discovery: when selecting a preset that already had/was an IR, clicking on the amp is what crashed THU. When choosing another stock/standard preset... no crash. Thanks for looking into this, and I should have tested using the other presets before, rather than the same custom IR preset over and over. I should know better...
