It's game changer for a lot of people who bought the bigger units and are running dual amps in stereo. Now they can have same setup but with a smaller footprint on pedalboard.
For me, I'm sticking with my dual ToneX amp setup as AU plugin in Loopy Pro!
But I'm really bummed that the last IOS app update 1.2.3 from IK Multimedia broke the app for me. It always defaults to a different amp in my projects. I hate having to go and reselect the amp presets especially playing live scenario.
Hope they fix this issue.
Maybe you need to resave the project after selecting the correct amp.
When you open your Loopy projects, Tonex should get restored to the state it was in when you last saved the project.
Is that not happening? Tonex takes a long time to load for me. There is a period of time during the loading before Tonex loads the correct state.
Btw, you can set Tonex’s default preset.
If you have a problem with Tonex, make sure to contact their support.
I reserved and reserved. It's messed up. It even happens in AUM.
Yeah, it used to before I updated to 1.23 now it doesn't even if I set my presets in Loopy Pro and resale.
It loads pretty fast for me but it always defaults to that IK preset now.
BTW, how did you setup ToneX default preset? I looked and looked but doesn't work for AU.
I am not having those problems. To save a new default preset, set up the tone. On the presets page in Tonex, save it with the name My Preset. You will be asked if you want to replace the existing preset.
Mine actually just turns black and says the effect has no controls if I change anything in Tonex from the default preset and reload loopy pro.
Broken for me too. I submitted a ticket. No matter what model I save , upon re loading that preset it loads something else.
Are you using the latest versions of Loopy Pro and TONEX?
Does this happen with all projects?
What device and OS version are you using? I use Tonex in Loopy Pro hours per day and it has been reliable for see since Tonex released a version addressing AU crashes a week or two ago. So, I wonder what might be giving rise to those problems.
iPhone 12 Pro Max latest versions of everything. Tried a fresh new project today with only Tonex on it. Same thing
That is mysterious. Can you make a zip of a simple project where that happens and send it to support at ATastypixel.com and maybe include a screenshot of the Tonex preset before you save it.
It makes me wonder if some configuration file in Loopy Pro or Tonex has become damaged.
I have the same experience testing Tonex in AUM. Whatever I change before saving an AUM session, Tonex reverts to the first entry in my local Tone Model list. iPad 6, iPadOS 17.4.1, Tonex 1.2.3.
I realized that I wasn’t seeing the state restore issue because my main projec selects a preset after load.
We should all report this to iK support. The more reports they hear, the better.
I heard back from iK. They are aware of the issue and working on a fix.
That is so wonderful! I was just about to ask you about having Loopy Pro load up a script where you can tell it what preset to load up on startup of a project. I'd love to learn this just in case IK takes too long to fix the issue.
There is a load project follow action where you can add actions to load when a project starts up.
Thanks will check it out.
I believe a Tonex update was just released that addresses the state-saving issues.
New version did fix it.
