Whoa, that's a healthy number of instruments on that midi map. Damn, I'm trying to save money but this looks tasty. Anyone bite yet?
Instabuy for me - KA have been hitting these out of the park. Simple, small, top-quality samples - keep 'em coming!
How many Perc instruments in this one?
Just answered my own question… so no pitching of each instrument…
Great stuff. Will get when I can.
Is this basically a bunch of samples?
Appears to be.
The dev could have pitched some instruments for an octave and grouped by type and sold this as 15+ apps at the same price. I bought more than 1/2 of the string, reed flute-like apps at this price.
I’ll buy this one as a “thank you” for the packaging. I can still suck these samples into Koala or AudioLayer to experiment with tuned/pitched variations which is always fun and makes the purchase more of a project exercise in audio mangling. If an app provides hours of experimentation that a real value over all the apps I ignored after install.
Yes that's all it is - basically one 'Chinese percussion collection' preset in an AU mini wrapper. But these are sounds that don't appear in many libraries, and well worth it for the quality if you have a use for these sounds. I've had a soft spot for this stuff since the JMJ Concerts in China so very happy with this particular bunch of samples.
These are very high quality samples. The number of samples is very generous... And the inclusion of some melodic bell percussion is great. Been using Octachron to build custom maps. I really wish they'd make an auv3 of their erhu sounds. 🤞!
In case any here are not aware, there is a collection of Chinese (and Japanese) instruments in GarageBand which are excellent. They are free downloads.
