Looking for de-esser, 4pockets Klevgrand Espresso or TB Sibilant?

Looking for a de-esser, ProFab is too expensive considering the other options so looking for these three ones, which one is recommended?

Klevgrand Espresso
TB Sibilant

  • Keeping an eye on this one

  • I know it's expensive but XVox has become indispensable to me for vocal (and solo instrumental) production, and has a great de-esser.

  • TB equalizer works great

  • I’ve got them all, I’m a sibilant person.
TB Sililbance is great and very customizable, I think I like Espresso best.

  • Thanks @Loups : how did I not know about Xvox?

  • It flew weirdly under the radar discussionwise and is expensive which might put some off, but it properly delivers. Fast and good results with a minimum of fuss.

Agreed about Xvox, it's become indispensable for me. Not so much for the de-essing but I love the EQ and the reverb. It's very easy to get good-sounding vocals out of it quickly.

My only gripe is that I wish it had a compression option without the FET, which I find too aggressive and harsh. I use the Mixbox LA2 in front of Xvox and only add a tiny bit of the Xvox compressor, for my voice this delivers smoother and better-sounding results.
