Ai mastering/production… anything out there?

Was just messing around on Udio and I think the ways ai is going are pretty obvious.

Wondering if there’s any kind of an ai thing yet where you can give it your song and it gives it a kind of production treatment to turn it into whatever your prompt is? Like just recording a track as best you can then getting it to make it sound like a much better produced Motown or punk or whatever track from whenever era

Think it would be a really game changing thing for people with no equipment just sitting recording. Quick acoustic demo

And a really nice natural kind of use to fall into where you get the originality and creativity but the power of ai

  • I mean in the same way that yiu can give ai a photo as part of the prompt and generate an image from that, you can give it your rough demo song rather than just a prompt and it creating the song. It alongside a prompt turns it into the sound you want,

You could just record as much as you want, if you know there should be this or tht instrumental part you can record them yourself and give it to the ai. There would be a back and forth. You get your track back, think hmmm this could do with some female backing Vox, add your own Vox get it to turn that into the female one, get it back dd another guitar part run it through it again etc

There's really no reason the entire mixing and mastering process shouldn't be automated and I think that's where it's headed for the amateur and "prosumer" musician. The process can be analyzed, therefore it can be automated.

At the "high end" I think mixing and mastering will be supported with A.I., but a person making the decisions won't be completely replaced. An A.I. assistant will be critical to organizing large projects, however.
