Can any Lemur lovers tell me a couple of things I will like it about it on my iPad?
Long title is probably self-explanatory. Know nothing of this app beyond lots of people loving it, but what would an everyday (know nothing) songwriter get of value from this app? Quick thoughts?

If you are going to grab pre-made templates and they're to your liking, then it's a great and elastic MIDI (or OSC) controller. If you aren't going for pre-made templates, it's a great way to learn how to design a MIDI controller. It's an app that requires work but has good reward potential.
The first thing to ask yourself is: do you need a MIDI controller?
Or more specifically, do you need a totally user-configured MIDI controller?
They're furry?

If you're into sound design, the morph board is pretty cool.
@PaulB You're a very bad man....
Oh and you can make video games that play your synth apps.
Stupid question, but do apps like this usually support MIDI in? So I can remap CCs from a MIDI controller, on a per-preset basis? I know MIDIBridge can do it (and much more) but thinking about programming the Byte Streamer instantly deflates my apprection.
Yes, Lemur and Midi Designer both have midi in.
If you use Reaktor i think it's the best control app there is. There's also Pull which emulates Push if you use Live and there are apps like nchord hearteater which are based on lemur, not sure what else is out there.
Oh and a part of the profits go towards Lemur conservation. :P
