Korg Module Pro - confirmation on splits/setlist in plugin...
In stand-alone one can set up splits and note ranges etc, but I want to confirm (as I cannot see how it is done) that this does not work when Module Pro is being used in a hosting app?
IE it is a "standalone" feature only.
Comments
Maybe the AUv3 relies on the host for those features. In AUM, you can load multiple instances, and split and transpose the notes sent to each instance using AUM's MIDI controls.
Thanks UD, using an app that has very primitive MIDI and hosting capabilities, thru necessity! Might just have to run two instances of module as you say.
Splits should be possible through a lightweight scripting utility such as Streambyter. If the app can't host MIDI AU plugins, but can route midi out and receive midi back in, it might be possible to "bounce" it off of Streambyter in standalone. A script to split to different midi channels based on note number would be simple.
If you're interested in trying to get something to work, more details would be needed.
Thanks wim, I'll see how I travel with the two instances, failing that I'll be in touch
