Acoustic amps in garageband
So I finally managed to connect my ukulele to my iPad with the Irig hd2 and it works great
The thing is the amps, I’ve tried so far in GarageBand make it sound more like an electric instrument
Are there amps for acoustic guitars/instruments in GarageBand?
And if I would have to use external apps, how would I connect it to GarageBand?
I know how I can connect midi instruments to GarageBand via iaa or auv3 but I don’t know how this works with audio apps

Hi. AUv3 amp sims can be loaded in Garage Band as effects. If you want to experiment, try the free BYOD. You build up your amp from its modules, and it has a lot more than just distortion.
If looking for a natural sound, don’t use an amp sim. Just use a little compression and some eq and maybe a little reverb/room simulation.
Here's the link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/byod/id1595313287
So, it sounds like you need to know how to add an AUv3 effect into GarageBand, and also could use some suggestions for FX to improve the sound. Really you may not need any amp simulation, but it's useful to know how to use FX of any kind that might work well with the ukulele.
For this case you should try adding an Audio Recorder channel rather than an Amp channel. If you pick "Instrument" for the input type you'll get a default clean channel with some reverb. You can also tap "More Sounds" and pick from many presets. Some of the Acoustic Guitar ones may be good. You can also pick Fun > Clean to get the least effected signal chain - just two controls, which happen to correspond to the EQ and Compression @espiegel123 recommended above.
It may be useful to know how to add other FX to a channel though. To do this, go to the track view, tap the audio recorder channel, then tap the icon that looks like three faders in the top bar (just to the left of FX). Tap PLUG-INS & EQ in the sidebar to show the FX chain.
Here you can turn any FX already on the channel off and on, and adjust detailed parameters. To add your own audio effects, tap Edit at the top-right and you will see slots where additional FX can be added. Tap one of the green + signs to see GarageBand FX, and on the second tab any Audio Unit Extensions that you own.
With a ukulele you probably don't need anything other than just a little bit of the GarageBand FX. But, if you don't like the sound, one you might like to try is Gain Stage Acoustic.
