[Solved] Does Moog Model D really not support Family Sharing?
I recently discovered that Moog Model D app doesn’t seem to support Family Sharing. Now, I totally respect that it’s the developer’s decision whether or not to enable this feature, but in this case I find it peculiar since Moog’s other iOS apps do support Family Sharing, namely Model 15, Animoog Z, and the Moogerfoogers. So, I tried to clarify this with Moog by submitting a support ticket through this link, and I recently received the following response.
I’m a bit confused by the advice to “reach out directly to the app developers”, as that’s what I thought I was doing by sending the ticket. Anyone know of a way to receive more clarification on this matter? I’d just like to know if the lack of support for Family Sharing for Moog Model D is an oversight, or if there’s a particular reason that necessitates this different treatment from their other apps.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Huh. Yea, they basically just told you what you already knew. Moog was sold not too long ago so maybe they are still sorting out departments, and stuff. It seems like your request went to the wrong help department. Just based off the email signature I’d say this probably isn’t the right person to answer the question. Not sure who the correct contact would be…
Unfortunately I do not know the answer since I do not use family sharing.
I have to believe somebody in this forum uses family sharing and has Model D.
On a side note. I’m pretty sure @GeertBevin has, or had, some involvement with Moog. Maybe if he sees this and has the time he could chime in…
Good luck.
Hi @thecalimaki,
We apologize that Family Sharing for in-app purchases of the Minimoog Model D app was not turned on. This is an option that needs to be explicitly enabled for each in-app purchase and it looks like we simply overlooked it for Minimoog Model D.
This has now been fixed and should propagate through the App Store shortly.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
❤️ your friends at Moog
You folks are the best.
Thanks so much for this! I didn’t want to come off as acting a bit entitled demanding you activate this feature, but I just knew this must have been some kind of mistake.
I’ve recently just made a new Apple account after sharing one with another person for years, so now I’m trying to save all the purchases I’ve made on their account. On a related note, I’m pleasantly surprised at how many devs (both big and small) have this feature enabled.
Awesome. Moog rocks. Thanks for coming to the rescue. Cheers!
I can understand, but I thought it was a totally reasonable question. Glad it got sorted for you, well everyone I guess, lol.
Please update the thread title to indicate this issue has been resolved, @thecalimaki.
