Recent screen lockup issues in miRack anyone?
I'm wondering if anyone else is having problems with the screen going non-responsive in miRack lately. It's happening to me regularly in the standalone version and occasionally in the AUv3. I'll just be moving a control and the screen locks up. Sound continues to play though.
I eventually have to force-quit. Then sometimes the app will just hang on load over and over until eventually I reboot or it just gets lucky and loads.
I'm on iPad 9th generation with the latest iPadOS version. I've been mainly focusing on the Audible Instruments modules of late. I can't recall if the problem has occurred in any patches that don't have those modules. It happens with or without AUv3 hosting, and even on simple patches. I've tried changing Engine versions and number of threads, as well as reducing UI features such as plug lights.
Anyway, just asking if it's only me before doing more radical surgery like re-installing the app.

I’ve not been using MiRack extensively just lately, but I have had several long sessions with it in the last week or so, and I use the Audible modules a lot. I haven’t noticed any of the symptoms you describe so far (touches wood). I’m on an M2 Pro 1TB, with crazy amounts of RAM, though, so I’m wondering if it’s to do with RAM or something along those lines? The fact that a reboot can cure it maybe points in that direction. I’m on latest iPadOS.
Thanks for that input - especially that you're using the Audible Instruments plugins too.
What version of iPadOS are you on?
I don't suspect ram since miRack has been flawless for me even on my Air 2. This is a very recent thing.
I think a reinstall is in order.
Working on a MI“groovebox“ currently and no issues on ipad pro M1/M2. Still on ios 17.3 though
I’m on 17.4.1. Offload and reinstall does sound like the next move. At least we have that option now, which keeps your data intact. Though a full reinstall might be needed if it’s messed up a config file or something.
