  • Nope. Not till 17.5.1 as a rule.

  • After upgrading I lost my custom desktops/screens, swiping left didn't reveal the screens but always the app folders. Thankfully they reappeared after entering settings and locking/unlocking the iPad again 😅

  • The macOS update seems completely fine.

Logic Pro on desktop has at least one big change that I'm really, really starting to dislike: Session drummers.

Out of sheer stupid curiosity, how does this compare to regular old Drummer?

Also, just to not get off topic, I usually just update as soon as available. That said though, I’m the minority because if stuff broke until a version blah.x.x I wouldn’t really care.

The last few updates though (major versions) have been fine.

  • I've updated everything (iPad, iPhone, Mac) and haven't noticed any problems.

I had hoped there would be "battery health" on the iPad, but for such an "advanced feature" it must be the M4.

Session drummer now takes longer to fine tune a performance, though some of the controls are more granular... if that makes sense. Programming a pattern is now possible, but there's no control over tom or cymbal patterns, which I find absolutely maddening.

In fairness, it's possible I've overlooked something or there might be a non-obvious solution.

I updated my iPad Pro, iPhone, Watch, and Laptop with all the latest updates, everything is working the same as before.

Edit: I did TVos as well.

Blaaaarrfff. That is a bummer and weird, ok. I still have the sub active might take a peek just out of sheer curiosity. iPad 9th gen here though so stem splitting won’t be testable (not something I do a lot of but was wondering how it stacked up against FLStudio for example)
