Programming My Own Drum Samples in Cubasis 3?

Oh no, it's another Cubasis thread, lol. So I did a forum search for this topic. Pretty much every thread about drums in Cubasis 3 discusses drum apps, but not how to utilise samples within Cubasis 3 itself.

What I mean is, I'd like to open up Cubasis, load in some drum samples, and start producing some sort of 4-bar or 8-bar loop I can then turn into a track. To be more specific, I'm looking to program drums via MIDI, not load on audio tracks. :)

I have Sitala, and I'm sure it could fulfill my needs. Using Koala as AUv3 may be overkill in my opinion, but I could also be wrong about that. What are some other thoughts and suggestions you may have? Does Cubasis indeed have a drum rack like Nanostudio 2's Slate? I'm curious to what other Cubasis users do in regards to programming drums with MIDI.

Cheers.

    NO!

And while it would be nice to have a 'Classic Machine' that we could populate with our own samples, tune and reverse them I doubt we'll see one this year, or the next as it's been requested for as long as Cubasis 3 has been on the market...

Dang. Well consider me as one more user requesting @LFS and the dedicated Cubasis team to eventually add a drumrack into CB3. It would be absolutely useful. Guess I'll need to utilise Sitala then.

  • Good call with the Sitala - I bought it long time ago and forgot I had it. When I made the purchase today it was free LOL. I wish Apple would show ALL purchases, as some just vanish from the list :)

I agree with that 100%. I'm glad I have Sitala. Once I finish my current album, the next will be produced in Cubasis.

  • I think quicksampler (or is it mini sampler?) is the only option to load in samples and it’s very limited and basic.

  • There‘s no shortage on pad-style drumsamplers on iPadOS. But, for example, Digistix 2 is the only one with multi layers and velocity/round robin/random playback.
Still waiting for something slick like Koala or Sitala with that feature implemented.

That sucks lol. Then Sitala it will be.

Man Digistix sounds amazing. I'll have to hold off purchasing it though. :)

Digistix is the only contender with multi layers indeed. The UI is quite fiddly but once you got around it's acceptable. The implemented sequencer is good, too. And it's a stable app, working flawlessly in Cubasis ( or other DAWs ). At least that's my experience.

    Excellent. :) Thanks ate.

  • I dont have the time to create multilayered
Drumkits. Hoping for some app like on desktop….
    This is so time consuming!!!!!!!!
Lets see what Klevgrand has to offer….

Given the right plugin it‘s a quick and easy job when done on a desktop computer.
iPadOS is still a desert in this regard.
