Ride-Sharing Collaboration Requests
I’d like to find one or more creatives interesting it a musical road trip.
Who wants to co-create something?
Either volunteer to work with me or request someone to work with you on the thread.
The results should (ideally) be shared in the CREATIONS category and not here.
My available tools to increase productivity are:
StaffPad (my current passion)
AUM (my prior passion before Staffpad)
or any of the major DAW’s… I tried a project using Auria Pro but the shared project file crashed on my iPad.

I'm hoping to collaborate with more people here myself (once my current album is complete, which should be tomorrow). I use an iPhone 14 Pro Max with 1 TB storage, and so my available creative environment apps are as follows...
-Cubasis 3
-Nanostudio 2
-FL Studio Mobile
-Koala Sampler
I also have AUM, but honestly I only use it for sampling into Koala these days. I cbf with live Ambient.
Instrument Plugins I use regularly...
-Bleass Synths (Monolit, Megalit, Omega, Alpha)
-Romplers (Beathawk, Module Pro, Pure Synth Platinum, and XinematiX, with all IAPs purchased for each)
-Zeeon and Sunrizer
-Model D
-Iceworks Synths
-BA-1
Effect Plugins I use regularly...
-ToneBoosters
-FAC
-BramBos
-Baby Audio Effects (I still need to purchase Transit lol)
I usually master my stuff in Logic using AI Mastering Assistant. 😅 (My ears are golden for mixing down, but they are shite for mastering.)
Edit: I purchased Transit. 🤣
Bumping in case others are interested in a collab.
Good idea. There are collaborations going on right now so the idea is sound but people are suspicious of how might volunteer. I know there are many here that I probably can’t find middle group with on tools or potentially able to agree on what’s good and what’s not.
True. True true. I just hope to have some musical fun with some of our friends here. (Istg @michael_m shut up or else. 🤣 Mr "That's What She Said" himself, haha.)
Well I have a copy of StaffPad, and would be happy to hand over some unfinished ideas to see if anyone can finish them. I’ll dig out some things, put them in better shape and share.
Yay! The more the merrier.
Nice that’s my jam… I also have 8 bars of a new StaffPad project ready to share. It’s based on an 8 bar audio loop at 90 BPM. I made the loop in AUM using about 6 of the new KA Chinese instruments. In Staffpad I added 8 bars of strings that work against the audio loop in a way that I’ve never tried (totally outside the scale of the audio).
Maybe we share one file in each direction and see what comes of it. I could imagine adding some and sending it back so that in the end the results have a nice mix of inputs from both of us.
Sounds good to me. Might take me a day or two to look at what I have and see what is worth sharing.
Shorter is better, so I can add contrasting material, I think. I think if we put the StaffPad score file in a zip we can attach into ABF comments or messages. I wonder about file size limits…
The StaffPad score I wish to share with you is attached here in a zip:
I didn’t manage to get any time yesterday, but should have most of the evening to myself today. Will download this and get one of my own back to you.
No hurry. I have all the time in the world… until I don’t.
I just pulled off a collab on another thread with @dav. He created a piano composition and I rendered the MIDI in AUM using iSymphonic, Xinematix and PianoTeq 8. Good fun.
Whats the next group same app collab !! Can we step it up to something more fun than Viking 😁🙏
Maybe bram apps, audiokit, … something from a dev who hang out with us here
Going through stuff now, so will see what I like best and maybe clean it up a little over the next day or two.
Just send me 8-16 bars so I can keep your input and add something.
I think I missed the last one. Is there a thread to check out how it worked? Was is “preset” development or everyone making a complete project using just that App?
Here it is. It’s still going i believe.
Viking synth and i didn’t click but people made some great loops!

Extracted 16 bars from something longer and zipped it.
@michael_m I added more bars and offer it back to you to add more notes. I changed the name to “Ride Sharing 2”
Well that was quick! I’ll take a listen over the next couple of days.
I was asked @LinearLineman for a MIDI improvisation and he responded with a Cubasis project.
I exported the MIDI into a standard MIDI file and loaded it up in an Atom 2 session in AUM.
I used AUM’s MIDI features to split the MIDI notes across a cluster of AUv3 apps:
PianoTeq 8 (3 instances)
Xinematix (1 instance)
iSymphonic (3 instances)
I did NOT change a single NOTE of the MIDI. I just configured lower notes to a few bass instances, middle notes to others and upper notes to a few more. This is the resulting collaboration.
Unmistakably his hand in it, but that’s a really nice arrangement that has transformed it to something really different.
