Can someone help me with mouse and ipad problem
I have a logitech Pebble i345 bluetooth mouse. It’s connected to my ipad. I think I”ve asked to no avail in the past, but I thought I would try again. The problem is whenever I open up an AUV3, not all of them, but some of them. I can never tell whether I”m going to have to use the right click or left click to control things. It’s like the buttons get crossed or something. I’m just wondering if there is a setting that I don’t have right in my ipad or something. Has anyone experienced this? I know off the top of my head it happens whenever I use ToneBoosters EQ and PureSynth Platinum. I honestly don’t think it’s the apps because I believe it would have been fixed a long time ago if it was. So it’s got to be a setting I don’t have checked or something, but I can’t figure it out. Any help would be appreciated,

Hello, @Brad.
Note: The issues mentioned in your older thread below is collectively reported on this post of mine, on this thread.

When “Perform Touch Gestures” feature’s toggle switch on “AssistiveTouch” page was enabled (= green), strange phenomena/behaviors occurred when using a mouse on my test. So, it may be better to disable (= off white color) your toggle switch of the “Perform Touch Gestures”.
aforementioned strange phenomena/behaviors on Splat-to-Clat app:
-When a drum sample name is tapped from a drum sample list/menu, the sample list moves/shifts slightly on its own.
-A drum sample name appears momentarily in the upper left corner of the screen when it was tapped.
(Not sure if the tapped sample name is the same as the sample name that appears for a moment. I don’t have the energy to check it.)
-They seemed glitch or glitch-like phenomena/behaviors.
*
The following was tested with standalone Splat-to-Clat:
-The standalone Splat-to-Clat was loaded when iPad screen mode was in portrait screen mode or locked to portrait screen mode. (In other words, I tested two patterns of portrait screen modes: locked and unlocked.)
⬇️
The standalone Splat-to-Clat was automatically loaded as landscape mode.
⬇️
However, when a mouse connected to iPad was operated, the mouse pointer moved in the manner for portrait screen mode.
-If the iPad is in landscape screen mode and standalone Splat-to-Clat is loaded, the mouse pointer movement is for landscape screen mode, so there is no problem.

What are the features set for the left and right buttons on your mouse on “CONNECTED DEVICES” below?
iPad ➡️ Settings ➡️ Accessibility ➡️ Touch ➡️ AssistiveTouch ➡️ Devices ➡️ CONNECTED DEVICES
(Note: As you may know, the “CONNECTED DEVICES” menu will probably not appear unless a mouse is connected to iPad.)
For example, if AssistiveTouch feature’s toggle switch is enabled and the left button is "Single-Tap" and the right button is "Secondary Click", Splat-to-Clat for iPad would behave the same or similar for both left and right clicks.
In other words, in this case, you can open the Splat-to-Clat’s drop-down menu by pressing and holding either the left-click button or the right-click button, whichever you prefer.
(As you may know, right-clicking in iPadOS is different from right-clicking in Mac/Win. I guess a long-tap/long-click might be required to right-click in Splat-to-Clat for iPad. However, I don’t usually connect a mouse to my iPad, so I’m not sure about this topic.)

Note: The above tests were done with a wired mouse connected to my iPad through Apple Lightning USB 3 Camera Adapter. (I don’t have a Bluetooth mouse.)

Hi, @Brad.
*
Additional Report:
Then, I tested AUv3-ToneBoosters Reverb app loaded on AUM(host), with the aforementioned wired mouse.
Note:
-I don’t have the TB EQ app you mentioned.
-Since the TB Reverb app has visualized EQ sections, I guessed that to some extent it might help reproduce problems that might occur with the TB EQ app. (Of course, I’m not saying this in the sense that there is a problem with the TB Reverb or TB EQ.)
*
Note: In my test environment, Left-click (= Button 1) is “Single-Tap”. Right-click (= Button 2) is “Secondary Click”.
-With the "Perform Touch Gestures" toggle switch enabled state on the "AssistiveTouch" page, a glitchy blinking occurred when a left-click’s “tap-and-hold-and-drag” operation was performed on AUv3-TB Reverb. I can't explain it well, but it felt like the mouse pointer was jumping.
(When a right-click’s “tap-and-hold-and-drag” operation was performed, no glitchy blink occurred on AUv3-TB Reverb.)
-With the "Perform Touch Gestures" toggle switch disabled state on the “AssistiveTouch” page, aforementioned glitchy blinking didn’t occur on AUv3-TB Reverb. And there was no "mouse pointer jumping feeling" as mentioned above.
That’s exactly what it does with several apps I use. I did discover if I use the right click instead of left, then it works fine. So I’m not sure what is going on there.
Hi, @Brad.
If your iPad’s “Perform Touch Gestures” is currently enabled, disabling it might solve your left mouse click problem.
iPad ➡️ Settings ➡️ Accessibility ➡️ Touch ➡️ AssistiveTouch ➡️ You can disable “Perform Touch Gestures” here.
The description of “Perform Touch Gestures” by Apple:
Simulate a finger when performing gestures with a pointer device. When enabled, apps may recognize some gestures differently. For example, scrolling may be preferred over text selection.
I’ll definitely give it a try. It’s pretty annoying trying to figure out every time I open an auv3 if I’m going to have to use my left or right click. Sometimes I forget which apps are affected. I’m wondering though, if I disable the “Perform Touch Gestures “ will that impact other things? I guess I’ll find out. I’ll report back. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.
