Korg Gadget 3 - Master FX

Good morning everyone. But is there a possibility of having effects on the master channel? And not just the limiter or the DeeMax. It would be convenient for example to insert an equalizer for example, or a compressor.

    Nope.

You can load gadget into another host like AUM, then apply FX to the master output in the host.

  • Yes, this was "plan b" 😀 the problem with using AUM however is that I don't have access to the samples as easily as in the Stand Alone version 😭 is there no other way?

You do have the same access to the samples because you are using the standalone app when you load it in Gadget. I’m not talking about loading AUv3 plugins. I’m saying you can add Gadget itself into AUM. Look under Inter-App Audio and you’ll see it.

Just remember there’s no state saving, so you must save the both the Gadget project and the AUM session.

Ah ok, it's true, I hadn't thought about the inter-app discussion, but then in AUM what do you recommend as an fx suite, like those from Waves to clarify

For FX, I myself would recommend ToneBoosters or FabFilter. Note that FabFilter plugins work on iPad only, but ToneBoosters work on iPad and iPhone. ToneBoosters also cost less money. :)

Sorry, I can't help you much there. I'm not a big FX guy. If I were working in Gadget, I would get it sounding as good as possible, export, and finish it off in Grand Finale or Trinity. I don't generally like a lot of FX on the master up until the very end no matter what environment I'm working in.

But I'm not a good one to ask. 😂
