Can you turn off the attenuation built into koala?

If i use koala as an effect in Cubasis 3 or AUM, put it in monitor mode and send to Youlean LM, my true peak max is about 3.7 dB lower (depending on the content) when monitoring through Koala. It seems that there is some built in attenuation in Koala that one can’t turn off. Really wish that was possible. Yes i could turn it up on the mixer, but would rather the levels in be the same as the levels out.

Am i doing something wrong, crazy, or does this bother anyone else too?

This has been discussed before in the koala thread but wondering if something has changed. Thanks!

  • Might be worth to check if you're using L,R or L+R as the format for recording when using it as an AUv3 effect.

I am in L+R in Koala. So maybe Koala is summing stereo files into mono? Thought it supported stereo files too.
