JWM - IDK A Good Title (Deadmau5-inspired track in FLSM)

So lately I've been extremely inspired by Deadmau5, from his blunt and outspoken nature to his incredible music. So now that I've returned to iPhone for music creation, I wanted to create a track like something he'd make. So here is "IDK A Good Title".

And yeah, oftentimes a baller song title will come to me, but I really couldn't think up a decent title this time. Since Deadmau5 often names his albums with silly things like "Random Album Title" and "Album Title Goes Here", I figured I'd title the track based on lack of inspo and an homage to the dude himself.

Now with all that said, I didn't actually "master" this track. The most important thing is for me to get the mix right so that I really don't have to do much other than bring the level of the overall piece to around -14 LuFS (give or take 0.5 LuFS one way or another).

Who knows? Maybe I'll create an EP based on my current Deadmau5 inspo.

    I'm also hugely inspired by Deadmau5. 'I Remember' is one of my favourites tracks of all time - every now and then I'll have a go at creating a Deadmau5-style pluck which I'm pleased to hear is nicely present in your track - it certainly gives it that Deadmau5 'feel', nice work!

    I don’t know enough about his work in order to judge how faithful this is to the Deadmau5 inspiration but I know this track is a banger!
    Great production. Another well crafted piece of music.

    @DanSebPage Thanks mate. :) I'm glad I'm not the only one obsessed with Deadmau5's music. The only time I'm not listening to Deadmau5 these days is before a gig. That's when I usually listen to Vince Guaraldi's greatest hits. (Listening to the Jazz Piano Maestro inspires my performance.)

    @MadeofWax I'm glad you dig it mate. :) Dan said I definitely got the feel of a Deadmau5 track, so I think I'm on the right path. I know I should be working on a bloody drone for Drone Day, but I'm working on the next track for this EP/Album. ;)

    I didn’t know much about him, so I watched a few videos. I think you captured it perfectly. Great mix and production. Lots of variety and tasty bits that hold my interest. Great track!

    That headgear he uses is quite an interesting gimmick. It must get hot in there! Another interesting character with headgear is Buckethead. I really like his stuff. I think I might play around with Riffler today and see what sort of craziness I can come up with!

    Thanks mate. Deadmau5 has replaced Justice as my main inspo, lol.

    @jwmmakerofmusic I won’t pretend I know anything worthwhile about this sort of music, but it was a great listen. What I DO know is that 95% of making a great mastered track is getting the mix right. And AI mastering solutions love a great mix! Your excellent musicianship shines through this track.

    Sweet! :) Thank you so much Bill. (I must've missed the notification to your reply and just saw it now, lol.) And believe it or not, I didn't use AI to master this time. Just FLSM's built-in limiter and trusty analyser to get the signal roughly around -14 LuFS. (Once I eventually master the album, I will use Cubasis' built-in Master Strip and use Youlean's Loudness Meter.

    No it’s a very very good song man

    Did you have to purchase the IAP for HALion and Neo FM and waves etc or did you just have to buy Cubasis 3?
