Scaler 2 - Logic pro2 iPad not recording chords
Hi
So it’s been about 4 months since I last used scaler in my workflow and aware that Logic Pro 2 has now arrived
I used to be able to record into Logic Pro my patterns that I’d set in scaler 2. Now when I press record with daw sync, I can hear scaler 2 playing, Logic Pro does the count in and starts the progress line moving, but it doesn’t record any notes.
Any guesses. I’m getting old so I’m guessing I’m missing something !
Thanks.

Think I’ve found the issue, although never set this on new tracks/songs
For the scaler track I had to set the internal midi in to the instrument out of scaler.
Midi routing has changed in Logic 2:

If you would like to see one version of a workflow that works for getting Scaler chords here's a jump to the timestamp on my video that shows the setup:
How to Import Scaler 2 Chords to the Chord Track in Logic Pro 2 for iPad Quickly
Thank you all. Proved that there had been a change and not entirely losing my marbles
Thanks, an interesting way of doing it
But for me, I use scaler 2 to build the structure of the track in chords - with duration, and “perform” styles, and record those directly in as intro, chorus, verse etc. the only thing it doesn’t bring in to Logic Pro, are the chord names, so that’s a manual remember and entry task but it means I retain the structure and feel of what I created in scaler.
I need to have a play round with the chord track and session players in Logic Pro 2.
Thanks again.
Ah - got it. Good luck!
