  • That's a pretty laid back carnival! A carnival in the clouds maybe. Great solo as always.

  • Cheers @MrStochastic , I was pleased with how this one worked out ☺️

  • A very very nice solo as always Tony!!! frenq

  • An exceptional sax solo… I’d expect many physical sax player would envy your ideas.

  • The sax was worth waiting for. You keep getting better at it. Happy shredding, bro.

  • I like how you developed this. It keeps building. Is each section a separate composition that you arranged in a DAW? However you did it, it works great. I can tell you put some serious time into those sax parts. Great composition!

  • Many thanks @Frenq , @McD , @LinearLineman and @Paulieworld for your comments 🙏
Paul, the basis was a 64 bar Piano Motif. I chopped this into 4 * 16 bar sections with silence in between with the PM arrangements feature. This played the initial sounds and percussion.
I added a second 128 bar PM motif chopped into 4 *32 running at twice the speed. This played bass and mirimbas.
Two SnakeBuds played ThumbJam Steel Drums.
Parts were brought in and out by StepBud and a second StepBud randomised the SnakeBuds every now and again.
The sax was played with GeoShred over the top of this.
All done in AUM (you know that thing that’s not a proper DAW 🤣)

  • Wow, that’s complex! I love it. Or as Olivia would say… like totally! Thanks for sharing. I did something similar in my last track where I slowed PM down to 20bpm and added a few tracks at 40 and 80bpm. I should start using the PM arrangements feature more. I don’t dislike AUM, but I’m a bit of a control freak. I use AUM all the time for synths that don’t play nice in Audiobus. Hope your weather is as nice as mine. It’s a perfect day except for these Cicadas. One just crawled up my leg.
