Can anyone help me with pythonista, with an app of mine for my own usage, but has stopped working?
Finally upgraded 8yo iphone SE to a 14
Everything working fine but my pythonista app is missing the critical part
It’s an I ching app, the movement part is what’s crashing. I studied this deeply but was years ago, I was wandering if someone could ease me the pain?
Glad to share pictures and code, this is just the error
Any help appreciated

Hmm I see, thanks, but that means I have to go back to redesigning (& relearning) the whole thing... was hoping for a quick fix.
Isn’t copilot/chat gpt good at that kind of thing?
Good idea, I’ll try. Not that I had much success with code questions in the past, but it’s worth a shot
Isn't @garden's link a quick fix?
I generally find gpt4 to be pretty good with python.
Yeah it would seem so, but it requires redesign cause I’m using a popover there and probably shouldn’t. My programming in pythonista uses a brute force approach, I’m afraid, it’s not very clean.. I could never deal with the main window always being open, it is there on the background behind the main app, and I have to close it separately when I exit.
This is all my shortcomings, and it’s been years since I coded it, so my python overall is a bit rusty.
I’ll have to devote a couple of weeks to this…
@garden the python part isn’t the problem, though, it’s the specifics of how pythonista uses several iOS APIs like ui, sensors, etc, that is not python per se, and there’s not much info around (the pythonista forum, and the docs, yes, but chatgpt can’t do much with that, it ain’t that clever)
Anyway thanks for the help, guys. If anyone has interest I’ll share the script when I eventually fix it
