Omenie Are Closing Their App Store Soon - ALL Their Apps Are FREE for a Limited Time

I'm sad to see Omenie are closing their App Store soon.
They have made all their existing apps free until then so you may as well grab them if you don't already have them.

Somethings to note, they still work fine at the moment, but from this point forward there will be no further support for these apps.

  • The apps are gold.

But, when you have new players on the scene bringing Mellotron to AU, you’re not going to survive.

Too bad because the Omenie apps are better.

  • Shame, I would have loved to see Sopranotron as an AUV3.

1,000 times this. Time to sample it.

  • MKII Flute sounds lovely . . . and nothing to get hung about.

  • I'm very sad about this. Streetlytron Pro is my favorite, most used iPad app ever.

For desktop I own GForce MTron Pro with every expansion. I never use it because Streetlytron just sounds better. I was always hoping for a desktop version of Streetlytron. I've made a few of the Streetlytron sets into EXS24 sample sets for use in Logic on desktop. I guess I will put in the time to complete that project.

    I'm sad!

  • Thanks Doug… some lovely sounds available here. While not ideal they work fine as IAA so make the most of them 👌

How did you go about extracting the sounds? Just resampling? Or something more involved like opening the app in Configurator?

    @garden
I just resampled. I then fixed up a few things with the samples before I turned them into a EXS patch. I have all the samples on my hard drive, I just need to turn the rest into patches. It's a pretty lengthy process but I end up with a patch I love, convenient to use.

BTW the whole bat detector thing made me even sadder.

  • Why is Streetlytron Pro so much bigger than the combo size of the 2 apps it houses? Are the sounds also much better? It cant be that much better, right?

Longer samples and more notes sampled per octave I believe. I went with the lighter one - sounds great.

Just what’s the deal with the bat detector?

Ah I see… I think I will do the same. Thanks for the reply
