Lumbeat drum apps (Funk/Rock/Jazz Drummer) - control halftime and doubletime tempo with midi cc?

I know the buttons exist in the apps. But how do you control this feature with midi cc from an external source? There is no mention of this in the “controls midi map”. Any ideas? Thank you!

I don’t think you can. If would bd great if you could. You should contact Lumbeats and request it.

  • Hi @espiegel123 , thanks for your reply, what a pity! By the way, the buttons for half tempo or double tempo seem not to exist in the iPhone versions, only on iPad. I contacted Lumbeat already through a bug report and asked the same question.

Great question! I have been using these apps forever and never stumbled across these Halftime and Doubletime buttons.

For anyone as clueless to these features as me. Look for the Elipsis (3 dots) button:

To expose the “Time /2” and “Time x2” controls. You can press them once or more to keep upping the rate of the backbeat on the snare:

  • I've been bugging @LuisMartinez about this for ages. PLEASE make these midi mappable!

That could come it very handy but I think most users would prioritize getting AUv3 updates since
iBassist added AUv3 7 months ago. I’m hoping that effort will extend to re-designing all my Drummer’s as AUv3’s too. I’m sure @LuisMartinez has the data on which drummer is the most popular.

Which one is your most used? Mine is Funk Drummer with Hip-Hop coming around the outside into the straight-away stretch. But Reggae Drummer gets a lot of play too.

  • It Soft Drummer for me, no contest.

  • Funk and Reggae Drummer for me by far though Soft Drummer gets some occasional love.

  • For me, it is soft drummer by far…even for funk.

  • I bust out future, mainly. But do love soft.

Hmm nah sorry - while auv3 is nice, not having full midi access to all the controls is a huge PIA and really limits the live capabilities of all the lumbeat apps.

What benefit have you had with iBassist being Auv3 now (vs IAA)? Its my least use app personally (I have them all) - plus AUV3 will also take ALOT more work than something like this and with @LuisMartinez production speed, it would take forever.

My top are HipHop, Reggae, and Funk. and get used everyday.
