Bought my first flying drone lately (Dji Mini 4 Pro) and that’s really addictive if you’re into both music/soundsFX/photography/video recording!
When now generic drones never record audio, it’s really fun to put soundFX or home made music to the movies I record…
Also, this has taken me into the world of video editing - trying to learn me Davinci Resolve on both iPad and Mac - fuckin’ deep and advanced editing software!
Together with the above, I have installed iPadOS 18 beta and have a lot of testing with different apps - for me everything seems to run perfect!
But now, I have to go outside and get the lawn done, otherwise my wife will kill me this evening when she quits the job…

I lurked for a looooong time before making an account. I remember seeing so many @RUST( i )K posts that I enjoyed. This thread is so heartening.
After a sudden need to go to the hospital paired with a need to catch up on a lot of missed deadlines because of my errrr frailty, this thread is good for my soul, especially since it's been over 2 weeks since I've actually had the space to make music.
I have to say, I've gotten more into desktop production over the past year to use sound libraries that IOS doesn't have and (for me) more in-depth DAW environments (AUM jams are still my true love)...but I have not been able to find a forum as deep, wide, and as communal as ABF, despite dogged searching.
The culture here is really something special. It may not always seem this way, but there is a lot of knowledge, bonhomie, and just plain out enjoyable humor and genuineness that I haven't seen in the desktop (or any internet commons) world. That's not a dig at desktop forums--it's an appreciation for the very unique community that we have here that is in large part fueled by the very passionate IOS developers that we have the privilege of in this space.
Big ups to everyone here, thread and otherwise. I love this place.
