I wonder if @brambos and @Hainbach can cook up something complex like this. Then again they have released Fluss.

This app is super hands-on and just fun to use.
Yep. I have Fluss. I like it a lot.
Sweet! I'm certain that Hainbach and Bram can cook up something even more complex than Fluss. Hope they'd be open to the idea.
And it wouldn't necessarily have to be AUv3 so long as one can record the output as a wav file. 🤷♂️
Man, I think it was @jakoB_haQ who made a video about it, but the pre-AUv3 era of iOS music had some of the most inventive apps around meant to be played with on a touch screen. For instance, Thumbjam (which thankfully is still around!). Borderlands Granular and Samplr as you have already mentioned as well. Musical "toys" if you will. Man it'd be pretty cool to return to apps like that.
Great design!
If Borderlands only had MIDI control...
No question that that was the golden era! Few devs are releasing AUv3 options as interesting as a lot of that earlier stuff these days. Most inventiveness regarding UIs has gone out the window, sadly.
Looks a bit like tardigrain to me.
I guess it’s up to us to tell them to give us what we want!
I forgot about thumb jam. I need to get that back onto my rig. Thx for the reminder.

Another bit of GAS that could be mitigated with a suitable app…
Bummer: the electricity used to power the supplied microphone introduces noise if you use the input with anything else.
Thinking about it, a loopy pro patch/project would probably be the best way to emulate this…
That looks amazing. Send me one
Borderlands definitely comes closest to this. It's practically only missing the chromatic keyboard playing part, and one could argue it is even more hands on (touching the samples exactly where you like, instead of these grid boxes). Just line up 8 vertical samples in B.
Nice to see that the video actually mentions Borderlands.
I agree with that. Luckily Fluss has an inventive UI and approach to modulation focusing on live performance. Hopefully more devs latch on to UIs like that.
apesoft iDensity ? haven’t watched ^ video yet but scanning through waveforms is its thing - (multiples in standalone)
also midi controllable as I tested on (free) Mac version *
also their iPulsaret for more synth based granular .
edit : since realised whilst it IS midicontrollable , it was AU parameter automation I was testing on Mac . (added for accuracy)
I only watched the first 1:30, but I think 95% of that you can do in Borderlands. There is a "keyboard" in Borderland in the sense that you can set up touch keys wherever you want, and you can tune them however you want.
Yes! Even rhythmic pulses can be done using the decaying envelope grain shape and fine tuning the voices, duration and overlap parameters 😊
SpaceCraft is good, I love it, but two samples at a time.
I'll check out Borderlands. I keep watching Tempera videos which is not a good omen for my wallet. It's a beautiful machine, but if I buy one and don't love it I'm guessing the resale value at the local consignment shop would be very low. I'd like to see more rhythmic examples but I can see this fitting our music very well.
Mmmmmm, VESA mount... drool
Spacecraft can get you in the ball park especially running midi apps to control it

Regarding more traditional loop triggering apps, Loopmix by Audiomodern might be something to look into since it has a more generative approach to sample slicing/triggering. It's not a Tempera replacement, though, but it's a great app to fsu.

Oh wow. This is what I was really interested in. I’ll have to try this. Thx.
