BRIIKS inside DAWNBEAT (Released)
fantastic new audio micro-editor and sample mangler
inside DAWNBEAT !
( found under MENU/PADS )
https://www.laranxaworks.com/briiks/index.html
BRIIKS is based on two connected concepts, an audio pool where you import audio files, and the so-called briik which is a slice from one of the pool's audio file. A briik is always linked to an existing file in the pool.
also separate and auv3

looks cool but same here, in my spot
Briiks seems to be built into dawnbeats ….
BiancaNeve:
no is not...
its a separate app.
but its advertised in lthe latest Dawnbeats update...
i guess it is still rolling out so is not available in many places yet…hopefully it is not another one of these apps that is not available in the EU due to these invasive new EU transparency requirements, which really are understandably offputting to devs
It is in Dawnbeat, it’s hidden away behind the pads menu.
Well spotted!
Insane!:)
big thanks for discovering.
My fault... SOory.
Not your fault... On the dev's website, there is an icon for this the way there is for Dawnbeat and his other apps, and there is a link to the appstore beside it, like there is for his other apps. But yes, the link doesn't work. From a scan of the page for Briics on the site, I didn't see anything mentioned about how this is part of Dawnbeat. 🤷♂️
It looks really interesting. I’m surprised it isn’t a standalone app or an iap at least. This dev seems to give away a lot of his work for free
This is a dope update.
I also get weird and and use koala as an auv3 in this app haha but maybe brinks will be a koala replacement within the app
also separate and auv3
just popped up...

Does anyone know if the dev is here? There should be a way to stretch events along the grid. When you sync to host, there is not a way to change the relative position on the grid.
bcrichards:

he answers the email (from his site)
and is open to bug fixes and suggestions!
Anybody know if BRIIKS in Dawnbeat has the same functionality as the standalone app?
Looks very similar. Max track number is 6, same as in standalone.
Anyone know of any videos / tutorials for Briiks? Haven’t really been able to find anything .. and the in-app “Help” (under hamburger menu) doesn’t seem to do anything
The standalone/au version of Briiks is now free and has a manual via its Help section (links to online manual https://www.laranxaworks.com/briiks/index.html).
Yeah saw that .. thanks. Was just wondering if there were any videos out there as well ..
what is the use of this? I can't understand it
oh this looks like a lot of fun.... Do wish the internal busses could be routed separately in AUM, but still so cool. Also if they added a fade in/fade out time for each briik this seems like it would be super cool for arranging ambient pieces. Looking forward to playing with this. (and just emailed the developer my praise and SUGS)
Good call on suggesting fade-in/out time .. was literally thinking how nice it’d be to have that when I fired up Briiks earlier today ..
Does anyone know how the "mixer" inside Briiks standalone works? I haven't been able to figure out how to route the internal bus effects.
BRIIKS User Guide
https://www.laranxaworks.com/briiks/index.html
Hi, @skiphunt.
You may find it in the "MIXER" section of the User Guide above.
(Sorry if what you want to know is not written there, or sorry if you have already read it before.)
Hi, yes… I’d already seen that. It’s VERY vague. It tells you it’s there, but no info on how to actually route the 4 buses. I can only use effects on main track, but no clue about how the 4 buses work or routing.
I emailed the dev but no reply yet.
Thought I’d see if anyone here had figured it out
@skiphunt
Below is my understanding of the MIXER of BRIIKS.
(My excuse: The following may be information that you already know. But for those who have not yet used BRIIKS at all, it might be of some use in the future.)
Steps to set up a BUS on a TRACK:
1️⃣ Select any TRACK.
2️⃣ Tap the TRACK icon.
3️⃣ Tap the MAIN button.
4️⃣ You can set up any BUS on the selected TRACK.
Note: The operating procedure(?) of 1️⃣ and 2️⃣ is swappable.
Holy crap! Way easier than I was trying to make it. No, I didn’t already know. Thank you 🙏!
