Loop like Loopy HD
HI all, I'm new here, very impressed with Pro. I love being able to have buttons controlling things, but I can't figure out how to record loops the way it's set up in Loopy HD. Here's what I do there.
-Set time sig, tempo and number of bars.
-I hit play and the metronome gives me a count in.
-after count in the first loop starts recording, records for the set bar length, and starts playing back clip 1.
-I touch donut 2 which starts recording in sync when clip one begins again. It automatically stops recording at the set bar length and starts playing when clip 1 begins again.
-and so forth for more donuts/clips.
I've tried multiple settings, but after the first loop, subsequent donuts (or do we call those tracks?) keep recording until I stop them manually.
I'm sure there's a way to have them stop recording at their allotted bar length, but can't figure it.
thanks for any help!

Turn on auto-count out and the loops will automatically end at the length you specify for the recording count-out.
@abstractocaster : perhaps this wiki article will help you become familiar with the options:

Thanks, that does work to end recording of the second clip, but then the clip stops. If I play it again it only plays once. I want it to record and then continue playing cycles until I stop it.
It sounds like you are either recording into a one-shot or have turned on play once for the clips.
I suggest that you create a new project using Loopy’s default project and choose restore default settings. The defaults should behave as you want.
And if not, let me know in what way you need different behavior.
THANKS all working now!
Great! If you have any more questions, let us know.
