Amplitude Envelope follow action not working
I am trying to use the Amplitude Envelope to create a ducking effect from live audio. I am sending audio from the mic input to a color. A track on that color should then send the Amplitude Envelope to the track that should be ducked. I tried with and without monitoring enabled, It's not working. Although I see the fader VU meter is pulsating, there seems to be no AE signal. I tried to control a slider widget to get some visual feedback, does not work. Is there anything I am missing to get the AE action to work?

The follow action uses the the amplitude of recorded clips not live audio. If you are using recorded clips and it isn't working, can you post screenshots of your setup.
Try this, record a clip. Add a slider to your layout. Add a follow action for the clip's color, Trigger Widget with the Slider you added selected. Play the clip. The slider will rise and fall with the clip's amplitude.
OK, sad to hear. I need a real time envelope follower. I was thinking the AE signal was derived from the VU meter and thus independent from the audio source.
A realtime version is on the wishlist. For the timbering, Envolver or Drambo can be used as realtime envelope followers.
