Sequencer with relative semitone input

Looking for an app that will allow me to create a sequence based on relative semitones and then transpose it based on the keyboard input. I want to be able to create something like this:
0 +12 0 +14 0 +15 +17 0 +19 and then have that sequence play on a note input.
Seems like all the sequencers I’ve bought work based on a scale and will typically only give you an octave ( or less) if you set the scale to chromatic. ( Cykle, midiDREAMs, Quantum )

Seems like I need a “Bud” app……

Thanks

  • I think Steppolyarp could work well for that

FuncBud by @cem_olcay might suit you for that way of thinking and working, also. @cem_olcay you added a transpose function already, right?

Either Kebarp or FuncBud could help you on this. I think Kebarp might be a better option if you don’t need generative sequencing. Also, it will transpose the sequence based on the note you are feeding it. Like in your example, 0 represents the note you are playing on your keyboard.

Yes, FuncBud has transpose with MIDI function.

  • Thanks for the input, thank you Cem for all the "Bud" apps and thank you Gav for the reviews and tutorials
Kebarp definitely looks like it will do the trick.
Any chance of a "hold" function? It would actually be the sequencer that I'm looking for!

  • Cem,

    Bought Kebarp and it's great.

I was hoping you might consider this option for future releases.

A "mono" mode for the Keyboard plugin. This way, in conjunctions with the latch mode we could use it as a tool to simply transpose Kebarp as well as other sequencers. As it now, hitting a second note feeds Kebarp additional notes to use.
In order to simply transpose the arp we need to turn the first note off. Being able to choose mono or poly mode would add a little more versatility to the Keyboard plugin

I think this was already asked but it would also be nice to be able to dynamically change the length without loosing the pattern.
I know the workaround is using multiple patterns but I was thinking of a more fluid "live" use scenario

    Thanks for the apps!

Thanks, glad you like the app! Yeah, that's a good idea, I can add a mono mode to Keboard. BTW I add the new shift parameter to Kebarp in the recent updates. You can shift all the notes up or down in the scale, if you don't want to change the key of the scale.

  • @Raydiognome : have a look at the sequencer in WoodSynth ...
    Woodman

  • Definitely what I'm looking for. Really a shame I JUST missed the sale! :( I'll definitely put it on my wish list. Thanks

  • @cem_olcay : Thanks. I'll have to check out the new feature.
