Want to know how much you spent on apps? This is how you do it...

I mentioned this in another thread, https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/61325/i-bet-you-ve-spent-more-than-you-think#latest, but it probably deserves it's own...

Go to https://support.apple.com/en-us/102208 and follow the instructions...

When I did this I got three ZIP-files (these are English translations of the Swedish file names, they might be different in your language):

Apple Online Store and Apple Store.zip
Information about Apple Media-services.zip
Account- och deviceinformation for Apple‑ID.zip

Inside the Information about Apple Media-services file you will find a folder path:

Apple_Media_Services->Stores Activity->Account and Transaction History

Inside that there is a file called Store Transaction History.csv that holds all information about your purchases...

Beware, you might not like what you see... :D ;) :o

Edit: forgot to add the link to Apple...doh!

I’m excited and awaiting response from Apple SE!

Can it easily be pasted into Excel or other calc app?

  • Yep, I just double clicked the csv-file and it opened in Numbers on my Mac...it should work the same with Excel...

Now my AppleID info archive arrive from dear Apple!

Huge amount of different info around my 16 years old AppleID - very very interesting information, especially the tables with purchases and recensions…

I can really urge other here to order this free AppleID report immediately!

  • I’m gonna try this, but I’ll check with my doctor first

  • I have checked my account now for purchases apps to iPad and iPhone…

    Only $5978 since 2008…

That’s only one (1) dollar a day for freakin’ amazing setup with incredible apps to brighten up my life!

The only ”expensive” what I can see is what I’ve spent on Apple hardware in the same timespann - $43900 !

    😂

  • Perhaps oddly, I have no interest in seeing this information 🥹

  • I sent the request and I'm waiting on the results. I've been buying music apps for a number of years now, so I'm darkly curious to see what the total outlay is.

Yeah, very interesting facts, but also scary for a category of people…

I thought around 2000-3000 dollar, but it was almost 6000… Hmmm…

But, the most surprising facts was the table of all free app that I had downloaded since july 2008, huge huge amount!

  • Thanks. I will save this for when I need to ruin my mood.

  • There's actually a lot of interesting data available from this page. For my part, I've spent about $5K total on iOS apps, in-app purchases, and in-app subscriptions across all categories since 2004. Less than I thought it might be. Turns out I've spent more on content (movies, TV shows, books, music).

It's not so easy to suss out just what I've spent on music apps. It's probably a good percentage of the total, but considering the sheer volume of apps I have access to, and what they're capable of, I'm really not complaining at all.
