“Memory” - instrumental version

Hi

I was pleased with the vocal version, but decided to do some more tweaks aside from cutting out the singing. Rearranged a few instruments, changed the mix, added some drums for the 2nd verse, and changed a few notes in the leads

Hope you enjoy

  • Nice track! I can’t remember if I heard the version with vocals. This has the feel of old progressive rock from the late 70s, early Genesis, King Crimson, etc. That was my generation. Back when we bought vinyl albums and played them on a turntable… and smoked a few. I would love to hear the vocals for this.

  • Nice track. I enjoy the mood. I think having more rhythmic elements, no necessarily drum, would make the track more dynamic.

Thank you for your kind comments. Here’s the vocal version

  • Enjoyed the vocal version and enjoyed this one. I like the sort of military drums feel it has in places 🥁

  • I like the vocal version, too. The computer vocals are nice enough. I think a real voice would sound nicer. I would love to hear Björk pouring her heart out. I like the lyrics.

Thank you, yes I looked around locally for a vocalist but no luck, had a look online but most of them started at £2k. There must be a hub somewhere you can find vocalists who want to team up with an instrumentalist.

I once found a singer by putting up an ad at a local junior college. Took about a week. She wasn’t a pro, but had a great voice and we made a few demos. Good luck!
