No midi from Quantum sequencer into AUM
I really like Quantum step sequencer, but of course I wish it was AUV3, but anyway I'm having problems running midi from it into AUM. I have Quantum synced with Ableton Link and they are in sync, but when I go into AUM mid control it is not getting any note information from Quantum. I have attached a video so maybe it will help.
thanks

Video too big
I figured it out ..close this if possible
I had this problem before, and is a while since I used it so can’t remember the solution. Can you remind us what needs to be done? Cheers
have you tried aum source as midi input? sometimes this works for me when using iaa apps as midi source.
Yes, it was a midi out setting in Quantum and then a connection in AUM midi connections from Quantum to AUM virtual.
Here is my setup in pictures . I have noted that since it's kind of a "hack around" to make this old sequencer run.
It's a great sequencer but since it's not AUV3, it's a bit dated and buggy within AUM.
Yes, it's a pity it isn't auv3. Not a fan of the UI, but it has some great features.
Hi. That's not really a hack; it's how you would always handle MIDI from an IAA (or AUv3). You send Quantum's output to its virtual MIDI port, and receive from that port in AUM. The other ways of configuring MIDI in AUM are just different views of the routing matrix. You could probably load Quantum in an AUM MIDI slot, instead of instrument, but that doesn't affect the results.
I didn't mean a real "hack" but a way to make it work. It's not as plug-and-play as AUv3 devices. I also get a midi lag starting the sequence from it maybe from being IAA. You cannot load it as a midi slot as it's not AUv3.
