Senode sequencer question
Do these symbols all appear in the Senode interface somewhere? I can't find, e.g, the symbol that stands for "toggle" & others.
Comments
I only see those for the types of midi input commands you can setup.
Select an Emitter. Then select the Emitter options button.
Then in the panel that appears, scroll up/down on this button to scroll through the range of options mentioned in the help file.
You can see I have Toggle set here
Ah, perfect. Thank you.
I just noticed that Senode has an update. Opened it up to see “scenes” 1-8 as an additional feature. Is this like a song mode? If yes, this could be great news….Have been hoping for such a thing to be implemented for ages!
Yes, song mode. Very handy!
Sweeeet!
When I click on the “?” symbol, which opens up the online manual, I can’t see any mention of the new scene thing.
Long-hold doesn’t bring up the option to copy current scene, like it does in some apps, so I’m confused about how it works.
Changes made to scene 1 are still there when I select scene 2, But then when I make adjustments to scene 2, and then click back on scene 1 , scene 1 contains all the changes I made in scene 2.
In short, how does this work?
You played around with it @lukesleepwalker ?
@Kashi Great question, and I hadn't gotten far enough to make a second (or third) scene to see the weird UX that you have identified here. I was just playing around with the app and bumped into the same head scratchers... There must be something wrong here as this makes no sense. I'll reach out to the dev.
When did this app go auv3 !!!!!! Wow just saw that on the update 😍
Been a while now... It's such a cool app!
@Kashi In case Sebastian doesn't find his way here to comment himself, here is what I received from him via a support message:
So far the behavior is as planned – scenes only affect two types of parameters of Emitters:
My plan is to extend it to all the parameters of Emitters that you can see in the bottom right panel:
At first I was confused by his design choice, but I think it makes sense once I think about the workflow. In essence, he's suggesting, I think, that you should have a single graph with multiple sections rather than multiple graphs across scenes. When you switch scenes, you'll switch the section of the graph that you want to engage. This actually works better, IMHO, because it means the whole graph is right in front of you and you don't have "context switching" when moving from scene to scene.
Hey @lukesleepwalker ! Thanks buddy. I emailed him too a few days back, and he replied immediately. I should've mentioned it - apologies.
I'm glad you explained it above, because I couldn't really understand , from Sebastian's reply, what it meant. Thanks for clarification.
Ok, I will play around with it some more, try and figure it out
Yeah it is! I haven’t used it in so long since it was iaa but dang! I missed the details on the update
