I like the Yoko Ono scales… very primal.
Good to see you sharing work here again.
When did you get the WX5? Are you using it to save carrying your Tenor Sax around for some venues?
What IOS app are you using for the synth/sampler?
Good stuff, lots of primitive sounds and instruments put together in a powerful track 👌
Super track bro. I could listen to a whole album of grooves like this. What synths did you use for the leads?
Hi @McD @GeoTony @Wrlds2ndBstGeoshredr sorry for late reply 🙂
All is made in AUM on iPhone 14 Pro Max. WX5 is made wireless with CME Widi dongle stuff.
Track use Hammerhead drums and some BlocsWave loops, like bass which is sliced and played with BW on screen slicer tool. That gives that tribal feeling.
Leads are multilayered with ModelD and Respiro, using various effects like Bleass and Audiodamage stuff (Bleass Saturator…). WX5 sends breath controller and CC setup is different for Model D and Respiro using AUM range settings. That way Model D is predominant on Respiro and vice-versa depending on how hard I blow. This makes this setup more expressive, especially with Model D being very organic with its sonic instabilities, same with various effects. WX5 also has pitch control with a fake reed like a real sax for more realistic effects.
This is super interesting, transferring sax skills: how to sound full and lively with a synth sound which can’t translate flesh, muscles, bones and emotion like a real sax? This is a good challenge and can only push musical, WX5 and real sax playing in a good way!! 😊
