Lumbeats Funk Drummer 'Intensity' control via MIDI

Hi
Is it possible to use a MIDI expression pedal to control the intensity level (not volume) of Funk Drummer?
I want to adjust it live while 'hands on' with my guitar. Ideally I'd plug the expression pedal in via my USB hub.
I've seen that CC7 controls volume but what about intensity?

    Sure. Just go to the midi settings, look for intensity, and change it to CC 7. Then change volume to some other value that doesn’t conflict with anything else. You can simply swap volume to CC2, intensity’s previous setting if you like.

    Actually, some controllers send the expression pedal as CC #11, not CC #7. Can check with a MIDI monitor.

    A USB expression pedal is relatively rare, and expensive. It may be easier to use an ordinary analog expression pedal, and connect it to a MIDI controller (e.g. keyboard) that has an expression input.

    You can set FunkDrummer to use whatever CC you want in its midi configuration screen.

    I wanted to try to change these settings with my new Launch Control XL and this is my config page:

    The tricky part is making sure the MIDI reaches the app: getting the MIDI channel set. I use AUM and it’s great to route MIDI Controls but Funk Drummer recognized my Launch Control XL as a MIDI source as well and doing the routing in AUM where I could use AUM as the MIDI source.

    I didn't catch that 2nd part of the question and jumped right to the assumption the OP already had an expression pedal sending CC #7. Thanks for completing the answer.

    @dragnfli - The iRig Blueboard and the M-Vave Chocolate are both relatively inexpensive foot controllers that can accept a standard expression pedal input if you don't have a keyboard with expression pedal input. As mentioned, you'll need to know the CC that whatever you plug the pedal into outputs and configure Funk Drummer to match. The Blueboard has two ports and outputs CC#12 and CC#13 depending on the port. The M-Vave Chocolate has a utility where you can configure the output. The Blueboard connects via Bluetooth MIDI only. The Chocolate can connect via Bluetooth or USB.
