Cubasis - Can midi notes be recorded from other apps into Cubasis ?

Hi All,

I would like to know if other apps can be triggered via Midi from Cubasis ?

Can other apps be used as Inserts into Cubasis ?

    Yes, Cubasis has MIDI in / out.

    It's even seletable at the device level per track, which is a rare thing. Most Apps select devics at the App level, and only channel # at the track level.

    So does that mean you can use other apps in Cubasis, like you would like VST instruments in a DAW ?

    Insert external apps into a midi channel and record midi data from them and play it back ?
