Tube Audio Unit broken?
Getting the message “Could not play this station” -on every video (of several) tried. Anyone else?
Looked for dev contact info at apple.com and got the message:
“This app is currently not available in your country or region”
(though it use to be/ already have on my devices).
Yikes?/Dead?
I rely on this app; are there any reliable alternatives to it if it turns out to be defunct?

Same issue here @UrbanNinja
There is a bug report tab in the app itself. I just sent the dev a message. Maybe you could do the same. Hopefully he will fix this soon.
One alternative is Web Audio Player
https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/web-audio-player/id1546591560
One caveat is you need to convert the YouTube video link to a music one, so that Web Audio Player can easily play the music.
So the address would be music.youtube.com/Y@38djj38
For example
Seems like Tube Audio Unit was also removed from the app store. Shame. I had just bought the app a few months ago.
Thanks, but Web Audio Player was also a very poor performer for me (just tried again and got my usual “an error occurred” message); when I contacted the Web Audio dev a long time ago (Blue Mangoo / Mani Consultants) seeking advice about continual error results he actually recommended I might want to try Tube Audio Unit (R.I.P.). Blue Mangoo also made another similar soon defunct app, Tube AU, which was also ok when new but suddenly stopped working regarding which Blue Mangoo replied to me they weren’t planning to fix it.
So, alas, three purchases for the same function defunct and apparently no reliable alternative(?); the best of the three (longest/best working) was Tube Audio Unit.
Found the (TAU) dev’s email but he’s not answering. Hope he is well even if his app isn’t
Hi @UrbanNinja . I believe this is caused by YouTube's diligent efforts to block "downloaders". They require a more complex web interaction than just a URL. Apps like TAU find a loophole which then works until it is blocked, whack-a-mole style.
I believe Media Assistant has an IAP to let it be a browser as an AU plugin. Don’t know how well it works.
I think I remember though that that browser can't play YouTube vids. Maybe I'm wrong. That dev was the dev of one of the dedicated apps that allowed you to stream YouTube as an AUv3, but that app (I can never remember the names of these various YouTube player AUv3s, they're all so similar!) is no longer on the store.
