Cool, well produced as always!

Thank you so much mate. I'm so glad I got back into music.
Oh man! That deep penetrating pulse is pure ecstasy.
(Yes… I’m trolling the “That’s what she said” thread watchers for extra recognition.)
Seriously, I’m feeling it..
Rofl! 🤣 Thanks for being a good sport, mate. And I hope you did genuinely enjoy the track.
It made me tingle. (OK. I will stop now).
I respect your work but I must admit that 4 on the floor kick is my kryptonite. So, I find it hard to stay the course for those creations. I have similar problems with songs where the singer has pitch issues, for example.
Lol.
I understand. 4 on the floor isn't everyone's cuppa. I wonder, what kind of music are you more into mate?
My early passions in the 60’s were jazz or jazz inflected songwriters like Steely Dan, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Billy Joel or Micheal Franks. But I was a college music major and went deep on Bach, Beethoven, Stravinsky and Prokofiev.
After college I played in a series of bands that practiced too much and got paid too little. I switched from drums to keyboards (my dad gave me his Wurly). I added a Roland JX-3P (the most I could afford working in bar bands). That just didn’t make me famous so…
I went back and got a Degree in Computer Engineering which mixed hardware and software course work. Musically, I started making a home studio and started reading keyboard magazine to see who used synth’s creatively or played great keyboard studio work. Everyone from Trent Reznor to Bruce Hornsby.
Lately, I find new artists from YouTube videos: Tiny Desk Concerts, Rick Beato interviews…
I found the new Willow Smith album pretty amazing when I firmly expected the offspring of Will Smith and “what’s her name” to be doomed to produce something less than inspiring.
So, I’m on a quest to discover music that inspires me at a gut level. I know it when I hear it.
For EDM related artists I get excited by the few I have discovered from watching TV and getting out Shazam to ID the artist. Todd Terje for example on a Better Call Saul episode.
I love a lot of film music and listen to a lot of SoundTracks.
Well done!! This is dope. Cheers.
@McD You definitely have a wide variety of musical tastes. I dig the fact you're still looking around for new music that touches your soul (I said soul, not soles haha).
I'm the same way. But in my case, I grew up on beat-based genres (various forms of HipHop to various forms of 4-on-the-floor beats from Disco, House, Trance, etc) in addition to Jazz, Classical, DooWop, Disco, Pop, Country, etc. My late father used to work ticket sales with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
Mate, when I heard one of Beethoven's Symphonies live (I forgot which it was), I teared up. Recordings, no matter how clear and well mastered, can never do live Classical Music any justice, especially Beethoven, Mahler, Wagner, or any of the greats really, etc.
Funny you mention Bach. I used to play some of his Inventions on piano. (I know they were meant for harpsichord back in the day if memory serves proper.) Once, I played an Invention for a young pianist Gold Cup panel. The judge was left in tears.
"That bad, was it?"
"It was the most beautiful performance I've heard. You really have a passion for Bach's music."
My parents were in shock, but not as much as me lol.
Your days at uni definitely sound like a fun time. Mine were too. And by fun, I mean working hard, studying, and learning about various topics. Although my uni journey was a tad different than yours (I never got into Computer Engineering, but I have two Bachelor degrees), seems we both loved Keyboard Magazine.
Willow Smith?! I didn't know she was back into music to be rather honest. I remember about a decade or more ago that she released a generic-sounding single. I'll take your word for it and check her new album out once I'm awake again. Still a bit early morning here, battling an on-and-off-again fever, and don't fancy disturbing the neighbours.
You'll definitely have to share your favourite EDM artists here. I'm always also looking for new artists. Set me up with some to listen to whilst I'm bedridden. Right now I'm currently stuck on Deadmau5, especially his new EP released a couple of days ago. So I could use a breath of fresh air that isn't some commercialised twattery released on Spinnin Records. 😂
I'm not into too many movie Soundtracks outside of John Williams, Howard Shore, James Horner, and other greats. Then again, Daft Punk's score for "Tron - Legacy" was immaculate and even included its own EDM-esque track "Derezzed", which I assume you knew about already. 😉
Well anyways, once I answer our mate @offbrands I shall fall back asleep. 😴
Cheers mate. Thank you so kindly.
Cool summer club track
Thank you so kindly mate.
