Rode VideoMic Me-C For music production?

Could the Rode VideoMic Me-C also be used for music production for quick demo recordings on an iPad?

Does the output jack support that I can listen to the already recorded tracks in a DAW?

Does anyone here have experience with the Rode VideoMic Me-C?

    VideoMic Me
    Compact Microphone for Mobile Devices
The VideoMic Me is a high-quality microphone for mobile devices with a 3.5mm headphone input, designed to give you incredible audio when shooting video. The microphone's directionality reduces surrounding noises and focuses on what you're filming, ensuring your videos sound clear and intelligible. The 3.5mm jack provides a headphone output for audio monitoring and playback. The VideoMic Me comes with a clip to ensure the mic is secure and a furry windshield for filming outdoors in adverse weather conditions.

All you need is a usbc to 3.5mm adapter assuming you have a newer iPad

  • I bought one recently to get easy mic input for an sp404mk2. Still have not successfully recorded anything that is not completely dominated by noise. Tried on iPad and phone with similar results. I must be doing something wrong. If you get one I'd be interested to know how it works out for you.
