Smoothing Out the Edges
Our Dev Team is constantly taking your feedback on bugs and crashes and working hard to keep our powerful mobile music making ecosystem compatible with the latest iOS releases and the newest devices. We've worked hard to bring you these fresh updates for Tabletop and AudioCopy.
Update to Tabletop:
The unmatched versatility and power of Tabletop for mobile music making means plenty of software bugs pop-up as Apple continuously updates the latest iOS. Many of you reported buggy issues with Phase84 and iMPC Pro 2 when loaded into Tabletop. Our Dev Team identified the cause of the crashes and we are excited to bring you this latest update to Tabletop with solutions for these bugs.
In this latest update, you'll find a smoother experience when saving your creative projects and when using our powerful Phase84 synthesizer. We can't wait to see what you'll create in the latest version of Tabletop!
Update from 07/10/2024
A few of our music makers reported a couple of bugs lingering in our recent update. Last week, our dev team responded quickly to a bug in the iMPC Pro 2 instrument in Tabletop and in a few menu choices in RS3, M8RX and the Arturia iMini. You can find this latest version of Tabletop out now in the App Store. Thank you to all the music makers who reached out to us!
Update to AudioCopy:
We heard our music maker's feedback on a couple of issues in AudioCopy and we are excited to deliver an update for AudioCopy that's more reliable and optimized for Apple's latest iOS update. We looked under the hood after our music maker's reported some issues with restoring past purchases and the smooth operation of AudioPaste in iMPC Pro 2 and other compatible apps.
Our Dev Team found the best solution for these bugs by upgrading and simplifying how this new updated AudioCopy communicates with our servers. I don't want to bore you with the details, but this updated version of AudioCopy should keep your creativity flowing when trying to access your sound packs in your Library and Content store. Just in time for the hottest Sound pack release of the summer next week!

Wow. Unexpected. Maybe will give my "Reinstall every 3 years" run a bit earlier
Yeah it's weird because they reference the iMPC Pro 2 app. but it hasn't been updated since 2022. A Google search for it leads to the Akai/InMusic site which has a lot of information about iMPC 2 Pro but no link to download it from the AppStore!
Akai and Retronyms are hardware and software mirror images of each other with a long history of flashy/trendy product promotions and releases followed by years of inactivity and abysmal support.
A blast from the past

Go for it.
It crashes after the splash screen
sooooo, is the IAP of 30€ worth it? any opinions?
If memory serves proper, Tabletop is a walled garden, so no AUv3 abilities. But what it does seem to do well is emulate the "DAWless setup". It was originally released about 12 or so years ago (correct me if I'm wrong), before DAWless setups were a trend in music production. I'm going to redownload Tabletop and give it a go.
@osKar : Where do you see that $30 IAP?
it is well visible on the Devices tab as an advertisement. You‘ll get 40% off for 16 devices. These are not every Gadget in the Store that’s why they call it the Essentials Pack.
Thanks @osKar
Does it still require all 'supporting apps' to be installed on the device to unlock all the devices?
yep they must be installed. I got Phase84 for instance, deinstalled it and Tabletop wants me to redownload it again to use it.
Good to know, the reason I ask is that it doubles the storage needed (for example all the samples, graphics etc. for the iMPC and iMPCPro and all the supported apps are already included in the app-bundle when you download TableTop from the AppStore so technically they could be 'activated' without even having any of the supporting apps installed).
Oh well, I won't bother reinstalling all of the apps again...
How are Tabletop and iMPC connected exactly? I’m confused..
When you have the stand-alone iMPC, iMPCPro, iMini, iProphet (and there was one more) installed Tabletop will able to use those instruments as devices in the projects.
@Samu Thanks yet again, Samu..
@jwmmakerofmusic :Do you also use Logic Pro for IPad?
Just for the AI Mastering Assistant.
