program changes in AUM

In AUM i can get synthmaster one to repsond to program changes no problem. its presets present themselves within AUM as an auv3. but as im using a Korg EMX1 as the master sequencer, when i change patterns the program change happens within AUM immediately. not once the new pattern switches on the EMX. has anyone else noticed this? realize this query is very niche.

i think that's more an issue with the hardware than with AUM, is there a way to adjust when the PC message is sent from the electribe? ie with the pattern change rather than on pattern select

AUM is just responding to the PC message it receives, the electribe is responsible for the timing of it being sent

AUM is going to change the preset whenever the midi message arrives. You need to figure out on your comtroller how to send the program change when the pattern changes. Note that you probably need to send the command earlier or there may be a glitch while the synth responds to the program change.

  • Thanks folks. Yes that makes sense about it being the EMX side rather than AUM. I don’t think there is a way to delay PCs on it. It’s an idiosyncrasy of the EMX. It’s fine when you pair an emx with an esx of the same pattern length.
