cool. so can this envelope modulate effect plugins outside of this app?
Looks cool, Fred. Any chance this could be added as a paid upgrade/extension inside the Punchlab app? If not, that’s OK.
Also, because I’m a bit of a stickler for consistency, if the brand name Fizzica has two “Z’s” in the name, then your logo at the end of the video is missing a Z.
Insta-preorder
It’s two Zs in one, and I find it quite clever design. And the demo sounds damn nice! I can’t pass this one
You make some fine apps brother! Consider me a pre orderer!
Either way, I’ve preordered it.
It would be best if this would sit inside Punchlab.
Yes!
FAC Fizzica is a new AUv3 plugin that extends FAC Punchlab's Fizz module with advanced features that would be challenging to fit into the same Punchlab view. And given the high UI constraints for the responsive design aspects, it’s mandatory to maintain clarity and accessibility, especially in both portrait and landscape orientations.
To keep everything super clear and all the parameters easily accessible, it was quite logical and natural to create a separate plugin. FAC Fizzica brings additional features and visualizers! Ensuring that both plugins remain efficient, specialized, and user-friendly for different needs.
Is it an extension of PunchLab or a pure standalone? In other words, if it supplements functionality of the Fizz module, does it completely replace the Fizz module if you don't have PunchLab? Or is PunchLab needed to gain full function from it?
This sounds fantastic! Does it introduce latency?
It's out! And it's even cooler than it looks in the still images. It's fun.
That's the real question. There was a mention on the forum how there are not many audio rate modulation apps on iOS.
Unfettered audio rate modulation is among the effects that require the highest amount of latency to reproduce digitally, otherwise you'll have quality issues like the plugin sounding differently under different circumstances using the same input.
High-latency effects aim for some sort of a middle ground between quality and real-time usability, but uncompromised audio rate modulation can be an insurmountable challenge to bring to the digital from the analog domain in many cases, given how it's set up and used.
Would be interested in hearing the results.
Not in my brief testing so far. It seems very... snappy.
Version 1.1 includes a new MIDI Extension to control the main frequency and the filter cutoff with MIDI notes, as well as the envelope follower with MIDI CC messages.
Here in this Ableton Live project, the first MIDI track controls FAC Fizzica (Both the notes and the envelope).
For the notes, the MIDI offset is handy to play the higher notes.
To use the FAC Fizzica MIDI extension (on iOS or macOS), you need a host that can provide MIDI events to audio plugins. Please refer to your host's documentation. If MIDI support is not available, use the regular audio effect extension
Fizzica is 30% Off until September 1st | Promo Price is $6.99! Regular Price is $9.99 (US Ref)
Very nice update. You’re always pushing the boundaries 👊
I think it’s another good addition to the collection. I tend to gravitate toward using Punchlab first, so maybe once I figure out how to use the MIDI extension for Fizzica I’ll better understand how I can maximize its potential in Logic Pro.
The midi seems like just transposing the Fizzica as you play your synth as well as the filter open via same midi keys. The higher the filter octave set. The more it will be open up an octave in semi tones. Obviously you can map the envelope cc ( which is also set by rise and fall amount ) and most other parameters you might tweak via screen.
Seemed nice with Drambo fm modules. Or better than just the fm modules ( if you dont make fm smooth ) If abrasive. The Fizzica makes fm better. So should make other sounds better.
I recorded with my non good headphones. So will lack bass.
