Comments

  • Glad to see AmpliTube back on the 'bus. Can you explain the in-app purchase transfer feature?

  • Using iCloud, you are now able to transfer/share in-app purchases between AmpliTube for iPhone and iPad, for example.

  • I'm confused (not tough to do). So I've already purchased the Orange pack on the iPad, but I'm not clear on how to make that available on my iPhone.

  • If you have the Orange in-app purchase (not the separate app - those are being updated now too, though, it won't be too long) you can follow this FAQ: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/3649

Seems like the annoying pop ups have been replaced by a little red number in the title bar. That's a good move that I hope will be applied to the other ik apps as well.

  • I followed the steps outlined in the link (thank you), but my Orange Amps IAP still isn't transferring to my iPhone. I'll try again tomorrow.

Yup, I'm a huge fan of that. IIRC, the plan is for IK to phase out the pop-ups in all apps. \m/

  • This is an awesome update, thanks!

  • Any word on SampleTank and iGrand becoming iOS8 (Audiobus) compatible anytime soon?

  • What about IAPs bought within the free version? can they now be transferred following a purchase of the full app? I ask because I have found it very disappointing that IK Multimedia's free to full upgrade path (in my case Sampletank) cost exactly the same but is ineligible for a bundle discount, I felt forced to take the upgrade path as all my IAPs "would have been lost to me because they could not be transferred.
Simply put, If I was to now buy an IK Multimedia" bundle" could I use the IAPs I already bought in the free versions of the bundled Apps?

  • +1 @AH_MediaDesigns SampleTank IOS8 AB2?

    &

    +1 @banjofran transfer IAPs?

I know other apps are being tested and should be submitted and approved soon. I'll have to check specifically which are coming next - I believe it will be SampleTank though (after AmpliTube Free which for some reason is not yet approved though it was submitted alongside the versions that did get approved. We've contacted Apple about it, should not be too long).

SampleTank will be updated for iOS 8 Audiobus compatibility, I know of no plans yet for sharing IAP since the app is universal. Currently the IAP is transferrable between the AmpliTube apps that have been updated, I will share any news of any other apps follow suit as I have it (and the other editions like Orange, Slash, Hendrix should be updated too from what I'm hearing, again I'll keep you guys posted).

  • No problem... GrooveMaker 2 has also been updated http://www.ikmultimedia.com/groovemaker

  • @ikmultimedia Sampletank next is good news. iGrand & iLectric also need to update soon to the Audiobus sdk to preserve their "go to" status for an IOS Piano or Electric Piano. In this market the importance of timely updates is huge for keeping apps viable. Vocalive should be addressed because it is important in its genre. I would like to thank ikmultimedia for its apps and working on the upgrading process. I will mail them some espresso coffee if you think that will speed up their upgrade efficiency! lol

Wait, is this a thing now with iCloud or iOS8? Google wouldn't tell me. If a dev releases a new version of an app, can they now provide a away for customers of the previous version to move their IAPs? If so, that's pretty great news for devs and users.
